<A Person to Be Trusted> is a survival story about a woman in her 20s named Han Young, who dreams of a comfortable life in Seoul, a city where you can get robbed in plain sight. The film is a meticulous look at Han Young’s gradual transformation as she, a North Korean defector working as a guide for Chinese tourists, encounters an unexpected incident, a heartbreaking farewell, and prejudiced stares.
Beginning with the Best Actress Award (for Lee Seol) at the 24th Jeonju International Film Festival, the film has been invited to prestigious film festivals around the world, including the 42nd Vancouver International Film Festival and the 28th Aichi International Women's Film Festival. It is considered one of the most anticipated films of the second half of this year.
Following the press screening and discussion, the film <A Person to Be Trusted> will premiere at Indie Space on October 18. We ask for your great interest.
